BUTTERFLY TROPHIES 2023

HELD AT NEWPORT GOLF CLUB

The Annual Butterflies Trophy competition was held on Sunday 3rd September at Newport Golf Club on a glorious, hot, sunny day!  ladies took part and a magnificent sum of £4960.12 was raised for the Mountbatten Hospice.

A special thanks go to Lucy Burke and Jackie Mouat for a very well organised day and for supplying a lovely touch of butterflies all over the place!!

BUTTERFLY TROPHIES 2022

HELD AT FRESHWATER BAY GOLF CLUB

Sunday 25th September 2022 saw the wonderful Butterfly Trophies held at Freshwater Bay Golf Club.
In a close greensomes stableford, the winners were Dot Porter and Penny Diez from Freshwater. 2nd was Denise Insley from Cowes Golf Club and Sue Oldershaw from Freshwater.
However, the real winner was the Mountbatten Hospice with Island Women Golfers raising over £6300 towards their fundraising appeals.

BUTTERFLY TOPHIES 2021 HELD AT COWES GOLF CLUB

Butterfly Trophies competition was held at Cowes Golf Club, when 48 ladies played and the winners were (above) Denise Insley and Sandra Scourfield from Cowes GC. A cheque was presented to the Mountbatten IW for £3278.31.

BUTTERFLY TROPHIES 2019 HELD AT SHANKLIN & SANDOWN GOLF CLUB

44 ladies played at Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club for the Butterfly Trophies in aid of the Mountbatten Hospice.  A cheque was presented to Katie Mew, Head of Income Generation, for £4134.10p.

Winners (above):  Brenda Keyte and Connie Huntington (SS) with 38 points. 

BUTTERFLY TROPHIES 2018 HELD AT RYDE GOLF CLUB

52 Ladies played at Ryde Golf Club for the Butterfly Trophies in aid of the Mountbatten Hospice. Cheques were presented to Sara Weech (Mountbatten Chairman of Trustees) for £4103 with an additional £700 that had been donated earlier in the year by Freshwater Bay Ladies Section.

Winners - Di Clark and Sue Keen (FW) with 37 pts on countback from Debbie Berry

and Amanda Gould (SS).

BUTTERFLY TROPHIES 2017 HELD AT OSBORNE GOLF CLUB

68 ladies played at Osborne Golf Club for the Butterfly Trophies in aid of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.

The winners (all from Osborne) were Perdita Potter and Anne Geary 33 points.

2nd Margaret Butler and Vicky Hayward 32 points.   3rd Lesley Catchpole and Vanessa Ford 31 points.
